Most, if not all, of these stakeholders have an interest in ensuring that our young people recieve access to appropriate education and training options that will lead them into successful and sustainable careers. Why we partner with business and industryBusiness and industry have a vested interest in participating in partnerships that support the development of young people and/or the organisations that work with our local young people. By contributing to the development of young people business and industry can assist in shaping their future workforce's skills, reduce the impact of skills shortages, increase youth and community awareness of emerging skills needs, build relationships within the community, build community capacity and demonstrate their role as a good corporate citizen. Business and industry researchOur Research Library houses a range of resources of relevance to anyone interested in business, skills and workforce related topics. The BGK LLEN is also interested in partnering with education and training providers to undertake research that fits within our strategic objectives and will benefit the region. Business and industry stakeholders are representatives from those sectors that have an interest in young people's education, training and career pathways. Some of these stakeholders include local employers, industry groups, apprenticeship services, Chambers of Commerce, trade unions, local government and government departments.
