Submissions are designed to allow all members of the community equitable opportunity to share their views or voice on a particular issue or topic. Submissions may be called for by a particular organisation, government agency or research body. Submissions may be called for by way of notice or because there is an awareness that a particular topic is currently up for discussion.
The BGK LLEN often shares its voice or the voices of its stakeholders through the development of submissions. Sometimes we have the data on hand to prepare a submission. Other times we will seek our stakeholder's views through consultations or surveys which then form the basis of a BGK LLEN stakeholder submission. Indeed, the more input we have from stakeholders the more powerful the submission.
If you think we should be participating in a submission please contact the BGK LLEN.
If you are writing a submission you may find the Lawlink NSW report 'Writing Submissions – A guideline on how to write clear submissions to government agencies' useful.
