Title: Review of international and national integrated service models for young people in the preadolescent and adolescent years - Benefits, barriers and enablers.
Author: Margaret Brechman-Toussaint et.al
Source: Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY)
Release Date: 2010
Description: There is evidence that, to a large degree, young people in the 9 to14 year age group are being overlooked in terms of the provision of early intervention and prevention initiatives and/or the delivery of integrated services. Similarly integrated service delivery that takes an early intervention approach to tackle some of the problems and issues faced by Australia's adolescent population does not appear to be common practice. In an initial attempt to fill these gaps in knowledge this review focused specifically on integrated service models that cater for young people and adolescents aged either 9 years and above and/or 15 years and above.
